Community Junction Inc
About the role
We’re growing our Youth Team and looking for three Youth Development Workers to join us.
21 hours per week.
Community Junction Inc is looking for three passionate, motivated and creative Youth Development Workers to join our Youth Team and contribute to the development and delivery of programs for Young People aged 12–18.Our Youth Team provides a range of programs, activities and support throughout the year, including after school drop-in programs, school holiday programs, outings, in-school programs, community events and our annual youth camp.
As a Youth Development Worker, you’ll work directly with Young People to create positive opportunities for participation, connection, skill development and leadership. You’ll build relationships, facilitate programs and activities, contribute ideas and work alongside the team to ensure our programs are relevant, engaging and responsive to the needs of young people.
We’re looking for people who are genuinely passionate about Young People, bring energy and initiative to their work and are confident in building positive working relationships. Additionally, we are seeking capable and dedicated role models who enjoy working as part of a team, but are also comfortable taking the lead, developing new ideas and identifying opportunities to engage and support Young People.
The role requires a regular commitment to working afternoons, with a minimum of three afternoons per week required to support our after-school youth programs. There will also be occasions where flexibility outside of regular working hours is required. We are looking for people who are flexible, adaptable and able to adjust their hours when required to support the delivery of programs and activities for young people. Wherever possible, additional commitments will be planned and communicated in advance.
