Warehouse Supervisor

About the role

This is an active supervisory role suited to someone who leads from the front. You will balance people leadership with operational priorities, ensuring the warehouse team consistently meets safety, quality, service and productivity expectations. Reporting to the State Manager, you will oversee warehouse staff, coordinate workflow, maintain inventory accuracy, and ensure orders are received, stored and dispatched on time.

Key responsibilities

• Supervising, supporting and coaching warehouse team members.
• Coordinating daily receiving, put-away, picking, packing and dispatch activities.
• Allocating labour and resources to meet operational deadlines and customer requirements.
• Maintaining high standards of workplace health and safety, housekeeping and compliance.
• Monitoring inventory accuracy and assisting with cycle counts, stock investigations and stocktakes.
• Ensuring freight, dispatch documentation and warehouse records are completed accurately.
• Identifying and implementing practical improvements to warehouse processes and workflow.
• Assisting with onboarding, training and performance management of team members.
• Liaising with internal stakeholders, suppliers, freight providers and customers as required.
• Operating warehouse equipment, including forklifts, when needed.

About you

• Previous experience as a Warehouse Supervisor, Team Leader or Leading Hand.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, stock control and dispatch processes.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and develop a warehouse team.
• A practical and proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
• Sound computer skills and experience using warehouse management or inventory systems.
• A strong commitment to safety, quality and customer service.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively across teams.
• Current forklift licence is highly regarded.
• Experience in automotive parts, aftermarket products, distribution or a similar environment will be highly regarded.
