Officer, Treasury Operations

Mars Recruitment is partnering with a leading global financial services organisation to recruit a Treasury Operations Officer for a 24-month fixed-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative operations team and gain exposure to FX, Treasury products, payments and settlement operations within a sophisticated corporate and institutional banking environment.

The opportunity

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Treasury Operations, you will play an important role in the day-to-day processing and settlement of Treasury transactions, while supporting internal teams and corporate clients.

You will be responsible for:

• Processing and settling Treasury transactions across FX, Derivatives and Money Market products
• Managing confirmations, settlements, payments and investigating discrepancies
• Monitoring and reconciling RBA RITS and Nostro accounts
• Managing incoming and outgoing SWIFT messages and ensuring transactions are completed within currency cut-off times
• Maintaining customer and Standard Settlement Instruction (SSI) data
• Investigating payment and settlement breaks and working with internal teams and external counterparties to resolve issues
• Supporting Treasury, Front Office, Operations and other internal stakeholders with transaction queries
• Ensuring all activities are completed accurately and in line with regulatory and internal requirements, including AML/CTF
• Providing support to other operations functions and participating in cross-training and process improvement initiatives

About you

We're looking for someone with experience in a banking, payments, settlements or Treasury Operations environment who enjoys working in a fast-paced, detail-focused setting.

• 1-2+ years' experience in Treasury Operations, payments, settlements or a similar banking operations role
• Exposure to FX, Treasury products and the confirmation/settlement lifecycle
• Experience with SWIFT or payment systems is highly regarded
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
• Experience working to strict deadlines and operational cut-off times
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• A proactive, self-motivated approach and the ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team
• Good Microsoft Office skills and the ability to quickly learn new systems
