Slam Dunk Occupational Therapy
About the role
Make a meaningful difference in children's everyday lives, while actually enjoying the work you do.
At Slam Dunk Occupational Therapy, we believe therapy should be meaningful, goal-focused and genuinely fun.
We are a growing paediatric practice supporting children and families across the Central Coast. With families already waiting for support, we're looking for a warm, motivated and personable Occupational Therapist to join our small team.
You'll work directly with our co-founder and Head of OT, Izabela, an experienced paediatric Occupational Therapist with advanced training in Sensory Integration. You'll receive support tailored to your level of experience, with the opportunity to build your confidence and clinical skills while growing alongside the practice.
Why you'll love this role
Four-day clinical week: Deliver therapy Monday to Thursday, with only two flexible paid administration hours completed remotely on Friday.
$80,000–$110,000 + superannuation, based on experience.
Gradual caseload build: Your caseload will increase progressively, with expectations matched to your experience.
Regular professional supervision and direct access to an experienced paediatric OT.
$2,000 + 2 paid days of professional development each year.
Less non-clinical admin: We manage client intake, bookings, scheduling, invoicing, payments and general practice administration.
Work laptop, therapy resources and equipment provided.
Mobile phone plan covered up to $60 per month.
Kilometre reimbursement for approved work-related travel.
A voice in a growing practice: We're a small team, so your ideas, strengths and contribution genuinely matter.
About the role
You'll support children and young people aged 0–18 through a varied mix of:
Clinic-based therapy
School and daycare visits
Home and community sessions
Collaboration with parents, carers, teachers and other professionals
Therapy planning and clinical documentation
School-holiday sessions and programs
You'll work from a shared clinic space approximately one to two days per week, with the remainder of your clinical work completed in the community across our current Central Coast service area, approximately from Woy Woy to Tuggerah.
Whether you're new to paediatrics or already experienced, we'd love to hear from you
We welcome applications from:
New-graduate Occupational Therapists
Early-career Occupational Therapists
Experienced paediatric Occupational Therapists
Occupational Therapists looking to transition into paediatrics
Previous paediatric experience is valued but not essential. If you're the right person for our team, we'll support you to develop the skills and confidence you need.
About you
You'll be a great fit for our team if you are:
Warm, approachable and able to build trust with children and families
Passionate about helping children achieve meaningful, functional goals
Comfortable making therapy engaging and fun
Reliable, organised and accountable
A strong communicator with families, schools and other professionals
Open to feedback, supervision and continued learning
Able to work independently once appropriately supported
Most importantly, you'll care about clinical quality while understanding that therapy works best when children feel safe, supported, encouraged and engaged.
Essential requirements
You'll need:
A recognised Occupational Therapy qualification
Current AHPRA registration
Current Working With Children Check
Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
A valid driver's licence
Access to a reliable and appropriately insured vehicle
Ability to travel across the Central Coast service area
New graduates awaiting final AHPRA registration are also encouraged to apply.
Internationally qualified Occupational Therapists are also welcome to apply. For suitable candidates who are eligible for an AHPRA supervised practice pathway, we are open to providing the required workplace supervision to support completion of the AHPRA registration process.
