Delivery Driver

About the role

T+C Pharmacy is seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team on a part-time basis. Based in Mackay, QLD 4740, this role is essential to our operations, ensuring that pharmaceutical products and healthcare items are delivered safely and efficiently to our customers. As a key member of our logistics team, you will play a vital part in maintaining our reputation for excellent customer service and on-time deliveries across the Mackay region.

Key responsibilities

• Operating a delivery vehicle safely and responsibly, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies

• Planning and executing efficient delivery routes to maximise productivity and minimise delivery times

• Safely loading, securing and transporting pharmaceutical products in accordance with storage and handling requirements

• Delivering medications and healthcare products to customers, ensuring items are handled with care and professionalism

• Obtaining customer signatures and managing delivery documentation accurately

• Maintaining communication with the pharmacy team regarding delivery status and any issues or delays

• Keeping the delivery vehicle clean, well-maintained and reporting any mechanical issues promptly

• Handling customer enquiries courteously and professionally, representing T+C Pharmacy positively

• Ensuring compliance with health, safety and regulatory requirements, particularly regarding pharmaceutical product handling

What we're looking for

• A current and valid Australian driver's licence appropriate for the vehicle being operated

• Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar logistics role

• A strong safety record and commitment to following traffic regulations and best practices

• Excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to plan efficient routes

• Professional communication skills and a customer-focused approach

• Physical capability to load, unload and handle parcels of varying sizes and weights

• Reliability and punctuality, with a strong work ethic

• Familiarity with the Mackay area and local geography is advantageous

• Experience handling pharmaceutical or healthcare products is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided

• A valid First Aid qualification is desirable
