UON’s business centres around the design, manufacturing, supply, construction and maintenance of remote, off-grid power and water infrastructure, with many of the products manufactured in UON’s Malaga facility, based on proprietary and patented designs.

As part of our continued growth, UON is seeking a highly skilled and strategic Business Development Manager/Account Manager to join our Kalgoorlie team.


About The Opportunity:

Reporting directly to the Energy Sales Manager: the successful applicant will oversee and manage key client relationships, ensuring both existing and new customer bases grow and thrive within the Goldfields area.

This role requires a strategic approach to business development, leveraging industry expertise and customer-focused sales strategies to drive growth.

• Building authentic relationships by researching potential customers to gain comprehensive understanding of their needs and how our solutions meet those needs.
• Initiating contact with potential customers, responding to inbound inquiries, engaging with their interests, and utilising their ability to work successfully to benefit from UON solutions.
• Presenting product information to customers once you have identified their needs.
• Managing and maintaining a pipeline of interested prospects and engaging Manager – Corporate Development for next steps
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, pre-contracts, operations, marketing) to ensure high-quality bids are produced and client requirements are met.

About You:

• 3+ years’ experience in key account management or business development roles, with a proven track record of managing major accounts and exceeding sales targets.
• Experience working in the Goldfields, with a good understanding of the region, key projects, and existing customer networks.
• A bachelor’s degree in sales, marketing, business, or a related field is highly desirable.
• Expertise in selling solutions such as renewable energy and battery storage, load bank systems, low-voltage switchboards, off-grid power solutions, dewatering, and pumping systems.
• Strong commitment to customer orientation, with the ability to make commercially sound decisions that benefit both the client and the business.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels, including C-suite executives.
• Ability to manage and influence major accounts across digital and traditional sectors, adapting to the needs of a dynamic, high-growth business.
• A demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
