Part-Time Public Practice Accountant

About the role

We're seeking a part-time accountant with public practice experience to handle compliance work, ad-hoc advisory work and client administration (setup and maintenance). After an initial on-boarding period flexible working terms and hours are available including WFH.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review individual, company, trust, and partnership tax returns (as applicable)

• Prepare BAS/IAS, FBT returns, payroll and superannuation compliance

• Complete year-end financial statements and workpapers

• Manage client correspondence, queries, and tax planning recommendations

• Maintain accurate records and adhere to firm quality standards

• Help guide the firm's future pathway, having input on software, processes and business development

About you

• Right to work in Australia

• 3+ years in Australian public practice accounting. Experience in managing workflows from start to finish would be beneficial

• Solid knowledge of Australian tax and compliance including Division 7A and PSI

• Proficiency with Xero and XPM highly regarded

• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills

• CA, CPA or IPA qualified

• Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines independently
