Dental Assistant

Tankard Dental is looking for a dedicated and friendly Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist the dentist in all aspects of patient care, maintain a clean and organised workspace, and ensure a comfortable experience for patients.

While experience is preferred a traineeship or secondary school student may be considered for the right person. The successful candidate will be well groomed, passionate, organised, a clear communicator, with and outgoing proactive attitude. Some dental knowledge is preferred, but not essential.

The successful candidate for this role will need to be flexible, with a strong work ethic and enjoy working within a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the dentist during procedures, including handing instruments and suctioning.
• Prepare and sterilise dental instruments and equipment.
• Maintain accurate patient records and update charts.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Ensure the treatment room is clean and ready for each patient.
• Handle appointment scheduling and patient inquiries as needed.
