National Disability Insurance Agency
About the role
The National Disability Insurance Agency (the Agency) is seeking registrations from eligible ongoing APS employees external to the Agency, for ongoing (permanent) and non-ongoing (temporary) transfer at-level opportunities that may arise, across a broad range of classifications and divisions.
Section 26 Register
The NDIA is looking for people to register their interest for upcoming or future ongoing and non-ongoing vacancies. This register may be used to source candidates for the following business areas:
Our participants, Our people, Our purpose
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) provides funding to eligible Australians to build greater independence and pursue their individual goals. The NDIS also connects anyone with disability to services in their community including support offered by each state and territory government.
The NDIS now supports over 717,000 Australians with disability to access the services and supports they need. This includes supporting approximately 100,000 children with developmental delay, ensuring they receive supports early so that they achieve the best outcomes throughout their lives.
Working for the NDIA
The NDIA has a strong culture, driven by passion for the work we do and commitment to supporting people with disability to achieve greater independence. Our people are pioneering the management and delivery of the NDIS. We also aim to be world leaders in accessibility and inclusion, the employment of people with disability and people with culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
The idea of people with disability being supported to live an ordinary life is central to the work of the NDIS. Through reasonable and necessary supports, the NDIS is helping people live a life with the basic opportunities many Australians take for granted.
This might mean getting involved in the community, enrolling in education programs, spending more time with family, entering the workforce for the first time or returning to work, receiving the right equipment or choosing the providers that best meet their needs.
Our values guide our day-to-day actions, behaviours, decisions, communications, performance conversations and the capabilities we are developing to successfully deliver the NDIS. They were developed for us, by us and are unique to our work. You can find more about the NDIA Values on our website.
You must be an ongoing APS employee to apply. If you are offered a temporary section 26 transfer, your home agency is required to agree to your release. All new employees to the Agency must undergo pre-employment checks, including a police record check.
Your application will remain active with the Agency for 12 months. At this time, all applicants will be invited to renew their interest in section 26 opportunities at the Agency.
