OUR SECTION 26 TRANSFER – TEMPORARY AND PERMANENT EMPLOYMENT REGISTER  

The Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) invites existing ongoing APS employees to express interest on the APS Section 26 Transfer Register for potential opportunities across various classifications, business areas, and locations throughout Australia.

The register will be utilised to fill both Ongoing and Non-Ongoing (temporary) vacancies, which may include full-time or part-time roles, depending on our business needs.

• Under section 22(8) of the Public Service Act 1999, employees must be Australian citizens to be employed in the Australian Public Service (APS). 
• Any successful candidate external to DVA offered employment will be required to undergo pre-engagement screening checks, including those who already hold a current security clearance. The screening checks are conducted in accordance with the Australian Government Protective Security Policy Framework requirements.
• Any successful candidate will also be required to obtain and/or maintain, a baseline Vetting (AGSVA) security clearance as a minimum. 

This register is only available to existing ongoing APS or Parliamentary Service employees employed under the Australian Public Service Act 1999 or Parliamentary Service Act 1999.

Promotion under the Public Service Act 1999 is not possible through this recruitment register.
