Oxy Cutter / Boilermaker - Scrap Metal Yard - WACOL

Who We Are: 

A privately owned family business with a solid reputation in the Scrap Metal Recycling Industry.  Our primary function is the collection and processing of scrap metal to supply both domestic and international industries that require end-of-life metals to produce new products.

What are we looking for ?

We are seeking a reliable Boilermaker and/or Oxy Cutter who is safety-focused, self-motivated, flexible, able to prioritise and focused on delivering great service.  You will possess a positive can do attitude.  You must be well-mannered and well-presented.  The successful applicant must be available to work some weekends as required.  This is a position that we want YOU to take ownership of. Day Shift from 6:00AM to 3:30PM. 

What will my responsibilities be?

• Fabricating & Welding

• Mig, Tig & Arc Welding

• Oxy Welding/ Cutting experience

• Compliance with all Health & Safety Policies & Procedures

• Working as part of our Team

• Assisting with the recycling process, planning and cutting of large metals

What do I need? 

• Experience in Welding and Oxy-cutting to a high standard

• Positive and upbeat demeanor and a can-do attitude

• High standard of communication skills

• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines

• Strong attention to detail

• Punctual and Reliable

• Ability to work in a team or unsupervised

• Maintaining work areas and job site cleanliness to a high standard

Work Environment: 

• Scrap Metal Yard - Outdoor 

• PPE Provided: Personal protective equipment (PPE) is provided.

Position Details:

• Type: Permanent

• Schedule: Monday to Friday between 6AM to 5PM with occasional Saturday work.
