Mary MacKillop Childcare North Queensland provides high-quality provision of care to families across the Diocese of Townsville, which stretches from Ingham in the North, Proserpine in the South, Mount Isa in the West and Palm Island to the East. We have grown to include 5 Early Learning Centres, 9 Kindergartens and 14 Outside School Hours Care centres.

With a strong emphasis on play-based learning, Ryan Kindergarten supports children’s early literacy, numeracy, and social development while nurturing a love for learning among the youngest members of the local community. Located within the Ryan Catholic College Junior School campus, the centre offers a welcoming, community-focused environment.

About the position 
Ryan Kindergarten is excited to invite a passionate Lead Educator—either Diploma-qualified or working towards their qualification - to join our dynamic team.

This permanent position offers 20 hours per week (2:00 PM – 6:00 PM, Monday to Friday), commencing as soon as practical, with the potential to pick up additional shifts at the service.

As the Lead Educator for our closing shift, you will guide and mentor fellow educators in delivering engaging, high-quality learning programs, ensure alignment with the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards, and work collaboratively with the Centre Leader to continuously enhance educational practices, daily operational routines, and outcomes for children.

What you’ll need to succeed:

• Diploma (completed, or working towards) in Early Childhood Education or ACECQA equivalent
• Understanding and knowledge of National Quality Framework and My Time Our Place Framework
• Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
• Current First Aid Certificate Including CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis or ability to obtain before commencement
