Lead Educator

Mary MacKillop Childcare North Queensland (MMCNQ) provides high-quality early childhood education and care services to families across the Diocese of Townsville. Our services span from Ingham in the north, Proserpine in the south, Mount Isa in the west and Palm Island in the east. Today, MMCNQ operates 5 Early Learning Centres, 9 Kindergartens and 14 Outside School Hours Care services.

Kirwan Early Learning Centre is a newly refurbished service offering a bright, spacious environment and a fantastic outdoor area where children are encouraged to safely explore, create, and grow. Our experienced team is passionate about supporting each child’s individual development in a nurturing and inspiring setting.

About the positions
Kirwan ELC is seeking a Lead Educator to join our growing team as enrolments continue to increase. These are positions offering up to 37.5 hours per week, with commencement available as soon as practical.

As a Lead Educator, you will lead the planning and implementation of a stimulating educational program, mentor fellow educators, and foster strong relationships with children and families.

What you’ll need to succeed:

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education or ACECQA equivalent
• Understanding and knowledge of National Quality Framework and My Time Our Place Framework
• Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
• Current First Aid Certificate Including CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis or ability to obtain before commencement
