Position Summary

Secondary teachers at Citipointe Christian College are supportive of the Educational Philosophy of the College and are focused on developing a culture of excellence. They take responsibility for the teaching, learning, assessment and reporting within their subject areas and facilitate positive and productive community relationships. They play a role in student pastoral care, contributing to the well-being culture within the secondary context. Secondary teachers are committed to the holistic education of all students and continually improve their teaching techniques and practices.

Requirements

• Current Queensland College of Teachers registration

• Written, current Pastor’s reference

• Academic transcript

Selection Criteria

• Profess a Christian belief and regularly attend a church fellowship

• Model Christian living and character

• Ability to integrate faith and learning in an authentic and engaging manner

• Minimum Bachelor of Education or equivalent, and/or specialist teaching qualifications

• Effective teaching practices

• Strong written and oral communication skills

• High degree of technological literacy

• Prior experience teaching using iPads (preferred)

• Excellent interpersonal skills

• Ability to work effectively in a team

• Strong organisation and time-management skills
