About the Role: The Service Provider shall provide systems engineering services associated with requirements engineering, engineering metrics, integration engineering, Verification and Validation (V&V), test and evaluation, and technical performance measures.
The required services may include: - Conduct requirements analysis and development.
- Develop and maintain a Systems Engineering Management Plan for the project.
- Develop and maintain a Technical Certification Plan for the project.
- Manage a requirements set through the project lifecycle.
- Develop and lead a System Safety program for the project.
- Conduct and review design and implementation.
- Review V&V documentation.
- Conduct certification and support.
- Plan and deliver engineering services, regulatory compliance, resource management, and project outcomes; and conduct reviews of contract deliverables.
Experience and Skills Sought: - Services are to be provided by personnel holding professional engineering qualifications that cover the relevant subject areas and with extensive experience in the required systems and software engineering services.
- Services are to be provided commensurate with relevant Australian and International Standards, regulations, and Defence requirements.
- Service providers are to employ industry best practice when undertaking the Services.
The Successful candidate must be able to demonstrate the below criteria:
- Systems engineering services.
- Requirement development and management.
- V&V plans/procedures.
- Design documents and specialist engineering reports.
- Engineering plans/procedures/ reports.
- Hazard analyses and reports.
- Certification.
- Contract documentation, plans and reports.
Essential Experience and / or Qualifications: - A qualified practitioner with higher degree qualifications or relevant industry experience of more than 8 years.
Highly Desirable Experience and / or Qualifications:
- Previous Defence experience is highly desirable.
- Extensive industry and specialty experience in electrical engineering and systems integration including integration on maritime platforms.
- Comply with ITARs requirements
- Experience with RF environments and wireless communications in contested communications or electronic warfare domains.
- Experience in digital communications protocols and signal conversion techniques.
- Experience driving processes and process improvements, including continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience with US Export Controls including Technical Assistance Agreements (TAA) and Third-Party Retransfer authorisations
SFIA Skills Sought: The planning, implementation and control of activities to integrate/build components, subsystems and interfaces to create operational systems, products or services for delivery to customers, or for internal or interim purposes such as testing. The development of organisational capabilities for systems integration and build including automation and continuous integration.
SINT Level 4: Provides technical expertise to enable the configuration of software, other system components and equipment for systems testing. Collaborates with technical teams to develop and agree system integration plans and report on progress. Defines complex/new integration builds. Ensures that integration test environments are correctly configured. Designs, performs and reports results of tests of the integration build. Identifies and documents system integration components for recording in the configuration management system. Recommends and implements improvements to processes and tools.
