Every student starts their journey with hope, ambition and a goal for their future.

As a Start Strong Success Coach, you'll help turn those aspirations into achievement by supporting students who may be at risk of disengaging before their studies truly begin. Working as part of our Student Wellbeing and Inclusion team, you'll build meaningful connections, provide strengths based coaching and empower students to overcome barriers so they can thrive from day one and beyond.

This newly funded opportunity is perfect for someone who believes education changes lives and wants to play a pivotal role in improving student engagement, retention and success. You'll work across our Geelong and Wyndham campuses, collaborating with educators, support services and community partners to create positive outcomes for students during some of the most important moments of their educational journey.

About the Role

You'll be more than a coach. You'll be a trusted guide, advocate and connector, helping students navigate challenges, build confidence and stay focused on their goals. Every conversation has the potential to change a student's future.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Proactively engaging with students identified as at risk of non-commencement, disengagement or withdrawal
• Delivering strengths based coaching and individual success plans
• Coordinating referrals to internal and external support services
• Building trusted relationships which promote confidence, wellbeing and persistence
• Facilitating workshops and activities focused on student readiness, motivation and success

About You

You genuinely enjoy working alongside people and helping them achieve goals they may not yet believe are possible. You bring empathy, resilience and excellent communication skills, along with the ability to balance support, coaching and practical problem solving. Most importantly, you're motivated by seeing others succeed.

You’ll bring:

• Experience supporting individuals through coaching, wellbeing, engagement or case coordination
• Strong relationship building skills with diverse stakeholders and communities
• The ability to assess needs, develop support plans and connect people with appropriate services
• Demonstrated organisational skills and experience managing competing priorities
• A collaborative and inclusive approach with a passion for improving outcomes for others

Salary Range

PACCT 5 | $81,835.00 + Superannuation (Pro-Rata)
