The Opportunity
The Community Strategy Officer is responsible for supporting the development of Council's strategies and initiatives which respond to current and emerging issues, community expectations, and legislative responsibilities.
This role encompasses a range of duties and responsibilities which may vary as directed by Council. The key ones include:
Undertake research, analysis and information gathering to support strategic planning, policy development, service reviews, organisational improvement initiatives and evidence-based decision-making;
Support the development and delivery of stakeholder engagement and communication activities that inform strategic projects, initiatives and organisational priorities;
Maintain stakeholder, project and information management systems, ensuring records, registers and documentation are accurate, current and aligned with governance requirements;

Proven/Demonstrated experience in:
Highly developed communication and relationship building skills;
Interacting with community as Council's representative in a public setting with confidence;
Understanding of good practice community engagement;
Analysing data collected and researched;
Report writing, producing quality work with good attention to detail;

Salary Packaging Available

Leave Loading
You will receive 17.5% leave loading on top of your base rate of pay, while you are on Annual Leave.
