The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join SMS Mining Services as we expand our capabilities into open pit mining and gold contracting services. Our client is based in the Goldfields, near Mount Magnet, and we are seeking dedicated and qualified personnel to join the team in full-time positions. With a strong resource base and an ongoing mining program, these roles offer the potential for long-term employment and continued opportunities as operations progress.
  
We are seeking an experienced Trainer Assessor to join our Mining team on a new Goldfields project. In this role, you will coordinate and deliver training, maintain competency and training systems, and work closely with site leaders to ensure team members are appropriately skilled, competent and compliant. You will also conduct on-site Verification of Competency (VOCs) and provide practical training for the heavy mobile equipment used across the operation, helping to maintain high standards of safety, capability and performance.

What We’re Looking For  

• Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (Diploma highly regarded)
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or equivalent)
• Strong working knowledge of WHS legislation, ICAM and risk management frameworks
• National Police Clearance (within 12 months validity)
• Unlimited Australian working rights
• Valid C class driver’s licence
• Gold mining experience (highly regarded)
• A strong commitment to safety and reliability
