Industrial Services Operator - Vacuum Trucks and NDD

We are currently seeking Industrial Cleaning Operators, Offsiders and Labourers to join our team.

This is a hands-on role where no two days are necessarily the same. You will work across a variety of industrial and construction sites, assisting with the many services Envirogen provides to our customers.

For the right person, this role can provide a genuine career pathway from Vacuum Offsider through to Vacuum Truck Operator.

Your duties may include:

• Industrial cleaning and shutdown work

• General industrial labouring

• Manual cleaning using brooms, shovels and other equipment

• Working as an offsider on hydro excavation projects

• Loading and unloading dirt, waste and materials from various locations across Adelaide

• Assisting with the operation of Vacuum Loaders

• Assisting with pressure cleaning and high-pressure water blasting

• Sweeping, shovelling and general site clean-up

• Non-Destructive Digging (NDD)

• Working across construction and industrial sites

• Assisting experienced team members with a range of specialist industrial services

• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment

• Following all site, company and safety procedures

The work can be physically demanding, and you will need to be comfortable working outdoors, in industrial environments and in confined spaces when required.

You must be physically capable of regularly lifting up to 25kg and performing manual work throughout the day.

Essential:

• Current White Card

• Current and unrestricted Australian car driver's licence (minimum)

• Ability to obtain a Confined Space Entry Ticket within the first 4 weeks of employment, at your own expense

• Australian citizen or permanent resident

Highly regarded / advantageous:

• Current Heavy Rigid (HR) licence

• Vacuum Truck experience

• Hydro excavation experience

• High-pressure water blasting experience

• Rail Industry Worker (RIW) Card

• Working Safely at Heights

• Forklift licence

• Elevated Work Platform licence

• Other relevant High Risk Work licences

• Previous industrial or construction labouring experience

A minimum of 6 months' industrial or construction labouring experience is preferred, however, we will consider the right person who demonstrates a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.

Vacuum Truck experience is not essential. Training will be provided to the right candidates.

Weekend work is part of this position, with an expectation that employees will be available to work at least one weekend per month.

The nature of our work means that 10–12 hour working days, Monday to Friday, are a normal part of this position. Additional weekend work, night shifts, travel and call-outs may also be required.

All successful candidates will be required to complete a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol testing.

Due to the nature of some of our work, including government and military sites, successful candidates may also be required to provide a National Police Clearance no more than 28 days old and meet Australian citizenship or permanent residency requirements.
