About the role

Reporting to the CEO and Group CFO you will be part of a small management team. This role will manage the organisation's financial operations and provide accurate, timely reporting to the Executive Leadership Team. You will also be expected to develop a strong understanding of all facets of the business and provide coverage for the Chief Operations Officer and Licencing & Export Officer when required. The commencement date will be Monday, the 4th of January 2027.

Key responsibilities

• Be responsible for all financial and accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, fixed assets, banking and balance sheet reconciliations.

• Attend to customer invoicing (not a large number of customers, largely export).

• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports (including covenant reporting to financiers).

• Complete annual budgets and quarterly reforecasting (ad hoc if needed).

• Co-ordinate financial audit requirements as needed.

• Management of cashflow.

• Oversee payroll governance and ensure compliance with all payroll-related legislative obligations.

• Complete statutory reporting obligations, including BAS, PAYG, superannuation, FBT, STP and WorkCover.

• Work with external accountants to administer the corporate structure.

• Act as delegate for the Operations Manager and Licensing & Export Officer from time to time (leave cover).

About you

• CPA or CA qualification.

• Minimum 5 years' experience in a senior accounting or financial management role.

• Demonstrated capability in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.

• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with Xero (including profit centre accounting).

• High levels of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
