We are seeking a full-time Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and finishing a variety of surfaces, ensuring a professional and durable appearance on all projects. This role requires a high level of precision, craftsmanship, and commitment to workplace safety.

·         Prepare surfaces by cleaning, scraping, sanding, filling holes, and sealing cracks.

·         Apply paint, varnish, sealants, or other finishes to walls, ceilings, buildings, and other structures.

·         Ensure proper coverage, smooth finishes, and colour consistency across surfaces.

·         Perform touch-ups and repairs as necessary to maintain visual and structural integrity.

·         Operate and maintain painting tools and equipment including brushes, rollers, spray guns, and ladders.

·         Protect surrounding areas with drop cloths and masking tape to prevent damage.

·         Interpret work instructions, follow job specifications, and adhere to client requirements.

·         Follow WHS guidelines and procedures to ensure a safe work environment.

·         Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with clients.

·         Work independently and efficiently to meet project deadlines and maintain schedule commitments.

·         Certificate III in Painting and Decorating (or equivalent Australian-recognised qualification).

·         Minimum of 2 years full-time experience in residential and/or commercial painting.

·         Proven experience with a variety of painting tools, techniques, and surface finishes.

·         Sound knowledge of painting materials, colour matching, surface preparation, and finishing methods.

·         Excellent attention to detail and high-quality workmanship standards.

·         Ability to read and interpret job plans and instructions.

·         Strong time management and organisational skills.

·         Capacity to work outdoors and indoors, in various conditions and heights.

·         Ability to work autonomously or within a team structure.

·         Good interpersonal and communication skills.

·         Current driver’s licence and own transport.

·         Experience working on larger-scale commercial sites or public sector projects.

·         Working at Heights certification or White Card (Construction Induction Training).
