Vadals is a family-owned Australian company, situated at Richlands, which supplies goods and packaging to the food industry.

We are seeking a motivated Purchasing Officer to join our growing team in Richlands.

Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring stock availability, managing supplier relationships, and supporting the smooth operation of our purchasing function. This is a varied and fast-paced position offering the opportunity to develop your procurement and supply chain skills within a supportive team environment.

What You'll Be Doing

• Managing purchase orders across a large range of products and suppliers

• Liaising with local and overseas suppliers to ensure timely delivery of stock

• Monitoring and tracking orders, providing delivery updates to internal stakeholders

• Working closely with Sales, Administration and Warehouse teams to coordinate stock requirements and deliveries

• Reviewing product specifications and supplier information

• Resolving pricing discrepancies between invoices and purchase orders

• Sourcing new suppliers and analysing costs

• Processing supplier invoices for payment

• Maintaining accurate inventory and purchasing data within the ERP system

• Assisting with forecasting and inventory planning

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience in Purchasing, Procurement and Supplier Negotiations

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills

• High attention to detail and excellent organisational abilities

• Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritises competing deadlines

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook

• A positive, resilient and solutions-focused attitude

• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team

• Experience using ERP systems will be highly regarded
