About the Role

Aveling Homes is seeking a professional and motivated Prestart Consultant to join our pre-construction team. This role is integral to ensuring our clients enjoy a seamless and positive experience as they make key selections for their new home.

Your main responsibility will be to guide clients through the Prestart process—from selection meetings to finalising documentation—while ensuring exceptional service and attention to detail at every stage.

Trainee Opportunity: If you are enthusiastic, customer-focused, and eager to build a career in the building industry, we are also open to considering applications for a Trainee Prestart Consultant position. Full training and support will be provided to the right applicant.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct and finalise Prestart selection meetings with clients.

• Prepare and manage contractual documentation including variations and addenda.

• Provide consistent updates and clear communication to clients throughout pre-construction.

• Build strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders.

• Deliver outstanding customer service across every stage of the journey.

About You

We’re looking for someone who is detail-oriented, organised, and passionate about delivering excellent client experiences.

For the Prestart Consultant role:

• Minimum 1 year experience as a Prestart Consultant (or in a similar selection role within residential building or building supplies).

• Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.

• Clear, professional communication and negotiation abilities.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

For the Trainee position:

• Customer service, retail, or administration experience.

• Strong interest in building, design, or interiors.

• High attention to detail and willingness to learn.

• Proactive, enthusiastic attitude with a client-first approach.
