Perth Seawater Desalination Plant | Permanent Full-Time
SUEZ is a global leader in water and environmental services, delivering innovative and sustainable solutions to communities around the world. We are currently seeking a Support Technician (Electrical) to join our team at the Perth Seawater Desalination Plant.
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Electrical or Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Technician to play a key role in maintaining one of Australia's critical water infrastructure assets.
Reporting to the Maintenance & Engineering Manager, you will support the plant's maintenance strategy and help ensure the ongoing reliability, availability and performance of plant assets. Working within a highly automated environment, you will undertake preventative and corrective maintenance activities, fault finding, equipment repairs and system troubleshooting.
Key responsibilities include:
Performing preventative and corrective maintenance on plant equipment and systems.
Diagnosing and rectifying equipment and process faults.
Conducting instrument calibrations, condition monitoring and plant inspections.
Completing maintenance activities and recording work in the CMMS system.
Supporting plant operations during unplanned events and participating in an on-call roster.
Promoting a strong safety, quality and environmental culture.
To be successful, you will have:
A Trade Qualification in Electrical or Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I).
Minimum 5 years' experience in water, petrochemical, mining or other highly automated industrial environments.
Experience working with PLC, DCS, instrumentation and high-voltage assets.
Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting capabilities.
A hands-on approach and commitment to continuous improvement.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Desalination plant maintenance experience.
Exposure to asset-intensive industrial operations.
Experience working within safety and quality management systems.
