ICU Data Manager

Selection criteria

1. Relevant tertiary qualifications in allied health or nursing, or equivalent work experience in medical research and data collection, or a combination of study and work experience.
2. Proven ability to collect, manage, validate, and analyse complex clinical data within a healthcare environment.
3. Demonstrated leadership skills to enhance staff performance, influence workplace culture, and lead change.
4. Demonstrated commitment to professional standards, including relevant professional registration or membership where applicable (e.g., AHPRA registration for clinically qualified applicants, Good Clinical Practice certification, and/or membership with recognised research, health information, or data governance organisations).
5. Ability to communicate complex information clearly to clinicians, researchers, executives, and external bodies.
6. Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams including ICU staff, research offices, and data governance units.
7. Excellent organisational and digital skills, including managing competing priorities, meeting deadlines, and using electronic data capture systems, electronic medical records, and Microsoft Office.
8. Familiarity with ICU workflows, electronic medical records systems (like ERIC and eMR) and experience working with ICU datasets (e.g., ANZICS CORE, internal ICU databases, EMR data extraction).
