About the role
ACIL Allen, Australia’s most trusted independent economics, public policy and strategy advisory firm, is seeking driven, ambitious and enthusiastic consultants to join our economics practice in Sydney. At ACIL Allen, you will be given ownership of client problems, challenges and opportunities, and the tools and guidance to help find solutions. You will work across the full breadth of ACIL Allen’s advisory portfolio, including:
developing methodologies and proposals
collecting, analysing and interpreting information
managing client relationships and overseeing project delivery
contributing to thought leadership in economics and public policy
conducting research, writing reports, and engaging with stakeholders.
ACIL Allen’s consultants are involved in the full lifecycle of a client engagement, from scoping work and developing methodologies through to presenting final reports and advice. From day one, you will develop your advisory capabilities by applying your skills and experience to complex and high-profile engagements.
About you
To be considered for this position, you must:
be motivated to contribute to the growth and success of our Sydney economics practice
possess strong analytical capabilities, with the ability to work with economic, financial or other data to generate unique and actionable insights
have the capability to communicate verbal and written insights clearly and persuasively
be able to work effectively both independently and collaboratively
have the ability to work effectively across different industry sectors and parts of our advisory practice
lead and mentor junior consultants, contributing to their growth and development.
About your qualifications and skills
3+ years’ experience in economics and/or public policy within a consulting, government, private sector, or advisory context.
Tertiary qualification in a quantitative or economics-based discipline (such as Mathematics, Economics/Econometrics, Statistics, or Finance).
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with expertise in other analytical tools, desirable.
