Field Service Technician – Full time

APS Service Pty Ltd A position is available for a suitably experienced and qualified  Field Service Technician  to join our Brisbane based team.   Service support is the core of our business & we are looking for a team member who can perform in the following areas: 

• Installation, maintenance, and repair of medical equipment in the field as assigned
• Carrying out annual servicing on a wide variety of electromedical devices
• Carrying out in depth trouble shooting on equipment using technical service manuals
• Provide expert technical support to customers on the range of products we support.

• Deliver application / user level training on products we install.
• Comprehend and apply Australian standards relevant to the role.

• Produce accurate reporting of service work with strong written communication skills
• Conduct themselves in a professional way at all times
• Travel as required for the role, occasional interstate or overseas travel may be required.

To be considered for this position, you will need:

• Restricted Electrical Licence, Level 1 at minimum
• Technical certificate/diploma or higher in Engineering/related field
• Open Drivers Licence
• Some experience in hands on technical servicing
• Demonstrated knowledge/ability in sterilizer validation to AS5369
• Demonstrated abilities for electromedical device testing to AS3551
• Basic skills in MS Office applications & IT hardware
• Professional presentation with a methodical approach to problem solving.
• Ability to work autonomously & with others.

• Satisfactory police & medical clearance
• Resident in Australia and have the right to work in Australia.

• Must be customer oriented and focused.

• Ability to read, speak, and write English fluently is required.
• Visual acuity and manual dexterity are necessary to manipulate tools and equipment to perform essential functions.
• Must be able to lift and carry 25 kg.
• Be willing to comply with vaccination & immunisation requirements.

  (Applicants not meeting the essential criteria will not be considered. ) Applicants with the following skills will be preferenced:

• Experience with MELAG, W&H, Cefla instrument sterilization equipment in installation, servicing & repair
• Experience with Ultrasonic surgical equipment servicing & repair
• Experience in cardiac, respiratory therapy equipment service and repair
• Demonstrable experience in electromechanical device repairs
• Experience in component level electronics diagnosis and repair
