The Role
This department is seeking a Business Support Officer to join their team on an 8-week contract, supporting the Aged Work Order Project. This is a customer-focused position involving regular outbound calls to contractors and customers, alongside data entry and general administrative support.
Key responsibilities will include:

• Making outbound calls to contractors and customers regarding aged work orders
• Responding to enquiries and providing clear, professional customer service
• Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to obtain information and progress outstanding matters
• Completing high-volume data entry and maintaining accurate records
• Following up outstanding actions and escalating delays or issues where required
• Supporting the wider team with general administrative and project-related tasks

Your Profile

• Previous customer service and/or call centre experience
• Confident making a high volume of outbound calls to customers and contractors
• Strong data entry skills with excellent accuracy and attention to detail
• Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills with a friendly and approachable communication style
• Ability to research information, use sound judgement and confidently problem-solve
• Proactive approach with the ability to seek clarification, manage priorities and communicate potential issues
• Previous QLD State Government experience will be highly regarded
