About the role
Take ownership of coordinating shire approvals and build-related communications across a portfolio of new home builds. Working closely with local councils, developers, and internal stakeholders, you'll have autonomy to efficiently manage approvals and ensure projects remain on track.
In this role, you will coordinate and assist with the submission of Certificates of Design Compliance, building permits, utilities, and other applications required for each new home build. You'll provide guidance and feedback to ensure compliance requirements are met for every sale, while also supporting and coaching team members across Sales and Design when needed.
Key responsibilities
Oversee and assist in the effective preparation and submission of CDC, building permits with relevant local councils, and utility applications for each home build
Control, manage and report KPIs and associated timeframes back to Drafting Manager on a regular basis
Liaise with local council, utility provider, and land developer regarding outstanding or additional requirements required for approval
Ensure approvals data is up to date and accurate on software and internal systems
Liaise with the sales, drafting, and design departments as required to deliver compliant building solutions for clients
Train and upskill Shire Liaison team members to take on further responsibilities
About you
A Cert IV in Building & Construction (Contract Administration) or similar industry experience is highly desirable
One year experience in a similar role, in a residential construction field or local council
Knowledge and experience in the residential construction industry with sound knowledge of the building permit process and local council building regulations is highly desirable
Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to build effective working relationships and liaise effectively with customers, team members and a range of stakeholders
Considerable administration proficiency and experience including the ability to work autonomously and as part of a small team
Excellent computer skills including the ability to utilise MS Office and construction software (ClickHomes)
