About the role
We are looking for an ambitious and self-driven Sales to develop and grow our logistics automation business across the Australian market.The successful candidate will focus on identifying new business opportunities and building relationships with customers in the 3PL, e-commerce, warehousing, distribution, parcel and logistics sectors.Our solutions include conveyor systems, automated sorting systems, DWS (Dimensioning, Weighing & Scanning) systems, warehouse automation equipment and related technologies.This role is ideal for someone who is proactive, commercially minded and comfortable developing a market independently. We are looking for a person who does not simply wait for leads, but actively identifies opportunities, approaches potential customers and develops them into long-term business relationships.ResponsibilitiesDevelop new customers and business opportunities across the Australian logistics and warehouse automation marketProactively identify and approach potential customers through cold outreach, networking, industry events and site visitsBuild strong relationships with 3PLs, e-commerce companies, warehouses, distribution centres, freight and parcel operatorsPromote and sell logistics automation solutions including conveyor systems, sortation systems and DWS solutionsUnderstand customers' operational challenges and work with our technical team to develop suitable automation solutionsPrepare proposals, quotations and presentations and manage opportunities throughout the sales cycleConduct customer meetings, product demonstrations and site visitsNegotiate commercial terms and support contract closingDevelop and maintain a healthy sales pipelineMonitor market trends, competitors and new opportunities in the Australian logistics automation industryWork independently while collaborating closely with engineering, technical and project teamsQualifications & ExperienceBachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Automation, Logistics, Supply Chain, Business or a related fieldMinimum 1 year of relevant sales, business development, logistics, automation or industrial equipment experienceExperience in logistics automation, material handling, conveyors, sortation, warehouse equipment or industrial technology will be highly regardedStrong communication, presentation and negotiation skillsGood commercial awareness and ability to understand technical products and solutionsComfortable communicating with both operational and management-level customersAustralian driver's licence and willingness to visit customers when requiredThe Person We're Looking ForMore importantly than years of experience, we are looking for the right sales mindset.You are someone who:Has a strong hunter mentality and enjoys developing new customersIs ambitious, energetic and highly self-motivatedTakes initiative rather than waiting for opportunities to comeIs comfortable making cold calls, approaching new customers and opening doorsCan work independently and take ownership of the Australian marketIs persistent and does not give up easily after rejectionEnjoys building relationships and turning opportunities into real projectsIs willing to learn technical products and understand customers' operationsHas a genuine desire to build a market, not simply maintain existing accountsWhat We OfferOpportunity to develop the Australian market for a growing logistics automation businessExposure to advanced warehouse and logistics automation technologiesDirect involvement in major customer projects from initial opportunity through to implementationSupport from experienced technical and engineering teamsCompetitive salary package with performance-based sales incentivesSignificant career development opportunities as the Australian business growsIf you are commercially driven, technically curious and excited by the challenge of developing new customers and building a market from the ground up, we would like to hear from you.
