The Railway Club Hotel is looking for an experienced and passionate Hospitality Manager to join our leadership team.
 
This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on manager who loves being on the floor, developing a team and creating memorable guest experiences — with a genuine passion for wine and the opportunity to help shape and guide our wine list.

About the Role
 
Working closely with the Venue Manager and General Manager, you'll play an important role in the day-to-day operation of the venue and the development of our front of house team.
A key part of the role will be developing and guiding the venue's wine offering. We're looking for someone who can bring their knowledge and enthusiasm to our wine list and help make wine a bigger part of the guest experience.
 
What you'll be doing

• Lead from the floor and set the standard for exceptional service
• Lead, coach and develop the front of house team
• Identify new wines, styles and producers that complement our food offering
• Build the team's wine knowledge and confidence
• Engage with guests and make thoughtful wine recommendations
• Drive wine sales and increase guest engagement with the list
• Support the day-to-day operation of the venue
• Assist with rostering, recruitment, training and team development
• Maintain high standards of service, presentation and venue cleanliness
• Assist with beverage stock management and inventory
• Handle guest feedback confidently and professionally
• Work closely with the kitchen and management teams to deliver a seamless experience

About You
 
We're looking for a hospitality leader who:

• Has proven experience in a hospitality management or senior supervisory role
• Has strong wine knowledge and a genuine passion for wine
• Is confident discussing wine with guests and making recommendations
• Has a passion for developing and educating a team
• Leads by example and enjoys being hands-on on the floor
• Has experience in a busy, high-volume hospitality environment
• Has excellent communication and people-management skills
• Is organised, proactive and commercially minded
• Holds a current RSA
• Is available to work a flexible roster, including nights, weekends and public holidays
