Heavy Diesel Fitter — FIFO 7/7 Roster

About the role

We're looking for an experienced Heavy Diesel Fitter to join our team on a major mining operation, on a 7 days on / 7 days off FIFO roster. You'll be responsible for the maintenance, diagnostics and repair of heavy mining equipment (HME) across a range of makes and models, keeping the fleet running safely and reliably.

Key responsibilities

• Scheduled and breakdown maintenance on heavy mining equipment (CAT, Komatsu and similar HME)

• Fault-finding, diagnostics and repairs on hydraulic, mechanical and drivetrain systems

• Preventative maintenance and servicing to OEM standards

• Accurate completion of job cards, SAP notifications and time confirmations

• Working safely and complying with site WHS/RSHQ requirements at all times

• Contributing to a positive safety culture and supporting less experienced crew members on-site

About you

• Trade qualification — Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology (AUR31120) or equivalent (Diesel Fitter / HD Fitter)

• Previous experience maintaining heavy mobile/mining equipment — surface mining experience highly regarded

• Current QLD driver's licence (or ability to obtain)

• High-risk/safety tickets highly regarded — e.g. Work Safely at Heights (RIIWHS204E), Confined Spaces, Risk Management (RIIRIS301E)

• Willing and able to pass a pre-employment medical and RSHQ respiratory health surveillance (MMQ)

• FIFO experience and a strong, genuine commitment to safety
