The Role
The International Division is responsible for international education policy and high-profile initiatives that support the sustainable development and growth of Australia’s international education sector. Working across the department, other Australian Government agencies, state and territory governments, education providers and partner governments, the division delivers programs and policies that support international mobility, the global exchange of knowledge, and position Australia as a partner of choice for international collaboration.
As an Assistant Director within the Qualifications Recognition Team, you will support this work through policy advice and strategic engagement on the recognition of qualifications and qualifications frameworks, helping to position Australia as a regional and global leader in the field and supporting better understanding and recognition of the Australian education system and qualifications internationally. You will contribute through engagement in key multilateral fora, including the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), as well as through bilateral engagement with key education partners, and support stakeholders to assess foreign qualifications in Australia, informed by UNESCO conventions.
