Factory Labourers

Sunshine Coast architectural metalwork company is looking for factory labourers to join their team to work alongside qualified fabricators to assist with all aspects of buffing and prepping metalwork.

Applicants with previous experience in a factory labour role desirable but not necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

• Buffing: Operating machinery to buff and polish metal surfaces to achieve required finishes.

• Drilling: Using various drilling equipment to create precise holes in metal components.

• Cutting: Operating cutting tools (e.g., grinders, saws) to cut metal to specified dimensions.

• Prepping: Preparing metal components for further processing, including cleaning, deburring, and basic assembly.

• Adhering to all safety procedures and guidelines.

• Maintaining a clean and organised work area.

• Assisting with general factory duties as required.

To be successful in this role, you will ideally possess:

• Previous experience in a factory or workshop environment is highly regarded but not essential.

• A strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.

• Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.

• The ability to follow instructions and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

• Physical fitness and the ability to lift and move heavy objects safely.

• A commitment to workplace safety.

• Forklift licence is a bonus, but not required.

• Manual vehicle licence is a bonus, but not required.

• Blue/White Construction Card is highly regarded but not essential.
