Nursery Hand - Propagation

Domus Nursery, a wholesale production nursery, near Kalamunda, is seeking a person to join our propagation team.  Within our team of 5 staff you'll have the opportunity to share skills and learn new ones.

Full time or part time position, Monday-Thursday 7.30-4pm and Friday 7.30-2:00pm. Ideally the person in this role would work 30-38hrs per week onsite. If variation to this will be required please provide your expected working hours in your cover letter.

Duties will include:

• Collecting cutting material

• Preparing and sticking cuttings.

• Tubing up cuttings.

• Pricking out seedlings.

• Other propagation duties.

• Weeding plants on the ground in the nursery.

• Stock maintenance in the nursery.

• Detailing plants for dispatch in busy periods.

This Job will suit someone who:

• Is self motivated and works quickly with their hands.

• Enjoys working with plants.

• Has good attention to detail.

• Enjoys some time working outdoors.

• Is physically capable.

• Is a positive team player.

Skills/Experience required:

• Previous experience working with plants, especially in propagation is highly desired by not essential.

• Self motivation, able to work quickly and efficiently.  

• Good communication skills and the ability to follow directions easily.

• Physically fit.

• Must have valid drivers license due to our work vehicles crossing a public road.

• Must have own transport due to our location away from public transport.

• Australian citizen and permanent residents are preferred.

Domus Nursery is an award winning, family owned, Plant Production Nursery based in Hacketts Gully near Kalamunda. We employ over 45 staff working to supply quality plants to retail and landscaping customers throughout WA.
