Allens Industrial Products is a third-generation, family-owned and independently operated specialist safety and industrial supplier.

With branches and warehouses in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne, we supply a broad range of safety, industrial, workwear, PPE and specialist workplace products to businesses and trades across Australia.

Customer service has always been a major focus of our business, and we are looking for a friendly and reliable person to join our Wetherill Park team in a full-time Counter Sales / Customer Service position.

The Role

This is a varied customer service role based in our Wetherill Park showroom.

You will be one of the first points of contact for customers visiting the branch and will assist with product enquiries, sales and general customer service.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Serving customers at our showroom counter
• Assisting customers with product enquiries and product selection
• Processing counter sales and customer orders
• Answering incoming phone calls
• Responding to customer enquiries by email
• Using our computer system to enter and process orders
• Keeping showroom shelves stocked and presentable
• Maintaining product displays
• Updating showroom pricing when required
• Keeping the showroom clean, tidy and well organised
• Assisting with general customer service duties as required

About You

Previous experience in counter sales, retail, trade sales, customer service or the safety and industrial industry would be an advantage, but it is not essential.

Full training will be provided, including training on our products, systems and day-to-day procedures, so previous industry experience is not required for the right person.

• Well organised
• Comfortable using computers
• Able to work accurately and pay attention to detail
• Willing to learn about our range of safety and industrial products
• Able to work as part of a team while also managing their own daily responsibilities
• Someone who takes pride in keeping a showroom organised and presentable

Experience with safety equipment, PPE, industrial supplies, workwear or trade products would be highly regarded, with salary negotiable based on previous experience within the safety and PPE industry

Location

The position is based at our Wetherill Park, NSW branch.

A driver's licence is not required; however, applicants must be able to reliably travel to and from Wetherill Park for an 8:00am start.
