About the role
Southerlys is a busy, relaxed pub serving quality pub food with a strong focus on fresh, local produce — including local crayfish, beef and lamb. We're looking for an experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen team and take pride in delivering quality food.
Key responsibilities
Leading a kitchen team of around 10
Running a busy pub kitchen
Maintaining quality and consistency
Menu planning and specials
Ordering, stock control and food costing
Managing food safety and kitchen standards
Training and developing the team
Working closely with management to keep the kitchen running smoothly
About you
Previous Head Chef or strong Sous Chef experience
A natural leader who can motivate a team
Someone who understands food costs and kitchen operations
Passionate about good, honest food
Reliable, organised and able to work in a busy environment
Currently in Australia with legal right to work
