Purchasing Officer

Outdoor World - Patio & Shed Installations

Outdoor World is seeking a motivated and organised Purchasing Officer to join our team. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who is commercially minded, proactive and highly organised.

About the Role

You will be responsible for ensuring the materials and equipment required for each project are ordered accurately and available when our installation teams need them. You will work closely with the Logistics Manager, warehouse and installation teams to help keep projects running smoothly and efficiently from purchase order through to completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the purchasing of materials and equipment required for patio and shed projects.

• Maintain accurate supplier, purchasing and pricing records.

• Coordinate deliveries with project schedules and installation requirements.

• Work closely with operations, installation teams and suppliers to ensure orders are accurate and delivered on time.

Skills and Experience

• Previous experience in a purchasing, procurement or supplying role.

• Strong organisational and time-management skills.  

• Excellent attention to detail.

• Strong communication skills and confidence working with suppliers.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Strong ability to manage orders, deadlines and competing priorities at the same time.

• Good computer skills, including good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

• Experience within construction, building or trades would be highly regarded.
