About the OpportunityWe are looking forward to welcoming an IT Support Consultant to join our Information Technology team in North Sydney.
As our IT Support Consultant, you’ll play an important role in keeping our people connected, productive and supported by providing hands-on technology support across TBH. From helping a colleague get set up with their new laptop to troubleshooting an unexpected IT issue, you’ll be the go-to person for day-to-day technology support while helping us maintain a secure, reliable and continuously improving IT environment.
This is an on-site based role in our North Sydney office, offering plenty of opportunity to work directly with our people and make a difference to their day.
As our IT Support Consultant, you’ll be responsible for:Provide Level 1 support for on-site and remote users, ensuring timely and effective resolution of incidents and service requests.Serve as the first point of contact for the helpdesk, escalating complex issues to senior team members as required.Configure and deploy laptops and devices in accordance with the Standard Operating Environment.Assist with workstation setup, including ergonomic configuration and basic hardware troubleshooting.Support user account administration, including password resets and access management under established procedures.Assist with software installation, updates, and patching activities to maintain system security and performance.Contribute to maintaining accurate documentation and knowledge base articles.Support cybersecurity awareness initiatives and adhere to organisational security policies and procedures.Participate in continual service improvement activities aligned with IT service management practices.
What you’ll bringAs our successful candidate you'll bring:A relevant tertiary qualification in IT, network support or desktop support.Basic experience in an IT support environment, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.Working knowledge of Windows environments, Microsoft 365, Active Directory and ticketing systems.Knowledge of service requests and incident management, with an understanding of IT service management practices.Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Microsoft Certified: Fundamentals are beneficial, with ITIL V4 certification preferred.A strong customer service mindset, with clear and professional communication skills.The ability to manage competing priorities, meet service deadlines and stay organised.A willingness to learn, develop your technical capability and contribute within a structured IT environment.A reliable, accountable and practical approach to your day-to-day work.
