What we're looking for:

• Cert III in Communications (essential)

• Mine site experience and strong understanding of operational environments

• HRWL / EWP

• Open Cable Licence

• ELV qualification or equivalent

• QLD CBM & Standard 11 (preferred)

• Experience with P25, Tetra, DMR

• RF/EME awareness

• Strong capability in maintaining and troubleshooting fleet management systems, radio networks, and fibre optics

• Sharp analytical skills and a collaborative, proactive mindset

What you’ll be doing:

• Work across multiple Bowen Basin sites on critical safety and communications projects

• Install, configure, and maintain fleet management, communication, and smart safety systems, including Collision Avoidance Systems

• Work with leading technologies: CAT Terrain, Modular Mining, Cisco, Cambium, Ubiquiti, Motorola, Tait, DMR, TETRA 2-way systems

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot advanced camera, radar, and sensor technologies

• Perform accurate fibre splicing and network testing to ensure reliable, high-quality connections

• Diagnose technical issues with a safety-first approach

• Collaborate with the team to implement innovative technology solutions

• Conduct routine maintenance and system checks to maximise system performance

• Deliver professional technical support to onsite teams and stakeholders
