Catering Operations Coordinator

TCLH, A national leader in specialist remote hospitality services, is seeking a hands-on Catering Operations Coordinator to provide administrative support and coordination for catering related processes across TCLH sites. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate data, supporting system workflows, coordinating information, and assisting with reporting requirements.

We work with high-profile clients across defence, oil & gas, mining and construction sectors, delivering critical remote hospitality and food service solutions on a 24/7 basis.

This role is based in our head office, located in Bundall, Gold Coast. Due to the collaborative nature of our workplace, the role is required to be based in our office working alongside the team.

DUTIES INVOLVED

• Maintain accurate catering, inventory supplier and procurement data across approved systems to support operational efficiency and reporting requirements

• Coordinate catering administration activities between site teams, suppliers, finance and operational stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery

• Manage ordering, stock control and documentation processes, ensuring records are accurately maintained

• Prepare and distribute operational, financial and catering performance reports, providing timely insights to support business decision making

• Support reconciliation activities including stock variances, invoices, purchase orders and supplier transactions, investigating and escalating discrepancies where required

• Provide administrative support to remote and regional operations, including onboarding system access scheduling, compliance documentation and meeting coordination

• Monitor catering budgets, commercial performance and compliance requirements, ensuring adherence to company policies, HACCP standards and operation procedures

• Develop and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders, supporting supplier performance, service standards and continuous improvement initiatives

• Proactively resolve supply chain and service deliver issues, particularly those effecting remote, regional and mobile workforce operations

• Support business process improvement and digital transformation initiatives, including automated workflows, AI-enabled reporting solutions and ongoing system enhancements to improve efficiency and data integrity
  

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

• Experience as Executive Chef, Head Chef, Kitchen Manager, or in food service operations

• Experience in procurement and operational administration, and supply chain coordination

• Experience working within remote camp-based, or high-volume catering environments (highly regarded)

• Food Safety Supervisor Certification (beneficial)

• Excellent communication and client relationship management skills

• Hands on mindset and confidence in attending remote job sites or supplier premises when required

• Familiarity with food costings, budgets & P&L’s is advantageous

• Ability to use or quickly learn systems like HubSpot, Excel and Asana
