Intermediate Learning Designer (Workshops and Programs)

This opportunity focuses on bespoke corporate learning design for organisations, rather than vocational education or accredited training development.

It is a remote, 3-month contract from 21 September-11 December 2026. The candidate must be available to work 4–5 days per week during 'regular business hours'.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll work directly with Thinka and our clients to design and manage content for workshops and programs, including:

• Facilitator resources (e.g., pre-reading, workshop agendas, slide decks, activities)

• Coordination and logistics support (e.g., printing and distribution of props for activities)

• Participant resources (e.g., takeaway resources, application tools, post-workshop activities, updating of participant dashboards)

• Participant comms (e.g., pre-work, cover emails for surveys etc, details for workshops)

You will be part of:

• Discovery sessions and ongoing project meetings with Thinka team members and/or clients

• Designing program architecture and roadmaps (e.g., maps that outline pre- and post- work, learning events, evaluation tools and measures, comms approach etc)

• Designing evaluation approaches (e.g., the tools and measures we use to evaluate workshop and program success)

• Subject matter expert consultations (carried out independently after introductions)

As this role is remote, you’ll be trusted to manage your own projects, work within agreed scope and deliver high-quality learning assets with minimal supervision. Many of our projects move quickly, so responsiveness and strong communication are essential.

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has experience designing workshop and programs for corporate clients (ideal industries include retail and wholesale, construction, manufacturing, insurance, finance, government, technology)

• Can design practical learning that drives engagement, behaviour change and workplace performance

• Can write content for virtual workshops, webinars, and position themselves in the training room to understand in-person workshop delivery

• Can adapt their tone of voice and design style to suit different industries and audiences

• Is comfortable facilitating SME consultations and client meetings independently

• Can manage multiple projects and deadlines autonomously

• Is highly responsive and easy to work with

Bonus points if you:

• Have some graphic design capability (ideally, to design client-branded slide decks and takeaway resources in Canva)

• Can also pick up digital learning (e.g., storyboard design or editing for eLearning)

• Are Bendigo based (Thinka's head office is in Bendigo) or are willing to attend the Bendigo office one day per week
