Refrigeration Mechanic

POSITION SUMMARY: In your role as a Refrigeration Mechanic, you will be responsible for contributing to manufacture and assembly of our chillers. An attention to detail and an ability to work as part of a team are essential, as well as a mechanical aptitude, desirable to have brazing skills and experience using most power tools. This role is factory based.

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manufacturing and assembly of heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning (HVAC) equipment including brazing and mechanical fit up.

• Evacuation and charging of chillers in factory environment, including sign off vacuum record and charge volume.

• Reading manufacturing drawings and technical specs.

• Ensuring all your work is to the required standards.

• Maintaining a clean, safe, and disciplined work area.

• Regular housekeeping.

• Other duties as required.

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA:

• Ideal to have experience in mechanical assembly.

• Must have experience and knowledge of evacuation and charging of HVAC equipment (chiller experience highly valued).

• Must hold a full ARC refrigerant license and be able to demonstrate responsible usage of refrigerant (R134a, R1234ze, R513a plus others as required).

• Have attention to detail and strong mechanical aptitude.

• Be experienced in the use of a range of hand and power tools.

• Be able to complete tasks to the required specifications within prescribed time frames, both on your own and as a part of a team.
