Community Liaison Office (CLO) Administrative Assistant

· $88,265 + 12% Super + bonus (performance).
About the Role
The CLO Administrative Assistant supports the Community Liaison Office under the supervision of the CLO Coordinator, working alongside the CLO Coordinator and Assistant CLO Coordinator. The role helps the office deliver programming across all eight CLO Areas of Responsibility — family member employment, crisis management and security, education, communications and outreach, guidance and referral, welcoming/orientation/departures, community liaison, and events planning — while building key contacts and managing information that supports morale and welfare across the entire Mission.
Duties
Assists CLO clients with local information/resources, coordinates with the Local Employee Association, provides travel and cultural insights, and prepares welcome packets.
Coordinates logistics and supplies for morale-enhancing community events, plans use of community resources, and supports offsite events like orientation trips and tours.
Provides daily client support, drafts newsletter/website content, maintains the CLO SharePoint page, and manages office supply inventory.
Maintains information on schools/childcare/volunteer opportunities, compiles CLO reports, and keeps records of unofficial CLO fund receipts and expenditures.
Skills and Experience
Two (2) years of administrative/office experience is required.
Completion of High School (Year 12) is required.
Good working knowledge; speaking/reading/writing is required.
Basic understanding of the Foreign Service concept and the structure of the U.S. federal government is required.
Knowledge of general principles of office administration and management is required.
Ability to draft communications and reports is required.
Strong organizational skills (physical and digital organization of office files) is required.
Strong research skills and proficiency in the use of Microsoft 365 is required.
