Early Childhood Teacher

Role Description This is a part-time, on-site Early Childhood Teacher role based in Cooya Beach, QLD. The Early Childhood Teacher will design and deliver engaging, play-based learning experiences that support the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of young children. Responsibilities include planning and implementing age-appropriate curriculum, observing and documenting children’s progress, and maintaining a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment. The role involves collaborating with colleagues, communicating regularly with families, and following relevant early childhood regulations, frameworks, and service policies. The teacher will also contribute to continuous improvement activities, including reflection on practice, participation in team meetings, and engagement in professional learning.Qualifications Demonstrated expertise in Early Childhood Education and Child Development, with the ability to apply current best practices in an early learning setting.Strong Teaching and Working With Children skills, including the ability to build positive relationships, manage group dynamics, and support individual needs.Experience in Curriculum Development, including planning, implementing, and evaluating developmentally appropriate programs aligned with early childhood frameworks.Relevant early childhood teaching qualification or equivalent (e.g., Diploma or Bachelor in Early Childhood Education) and eligibility to work in Australia.Current Working With Children Check and any other required local clearances or certifications.Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team and engage respectfully with families and caregivers.Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with attention to documentation, health and safety, and daily routines.Commitment to inclusive, culturally responsive practice and ongoing professional development.
