Job description:

Rugby World Cup Australia is excited to offer an opportunity for a Stakeholder Ticketing Lead to play a pivotal role in delivering the Rugby World Cup 2027 ticketing program. Based in our Sydney office, this position oversees B2B sales and ensures an exceptional end-to-end ticketing experience for stakeholders across Australia and internationally.

As the Stakeholder Sales Lead, you will manage a small team, oversee complex ticketing operations within bespoke systems, and act as the primary point of contact for high value stakeholders throughout both the planning phase and tournament time delivery. Working closely with Ticketmaster, Finance, and internal Functional Areas (departments), you will ensure accurate quota management, smooth payment and account processes on a bespoke ticketing system and timely resolution of enquiries.

With a strong focus on relationship management, operational excellence, and premium customer experience, this role is integral to the successful execution of the tournament's stakeholder and premium ticketing program.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Stakeholder Sales

• Lead the B2B stakeholder ticket sales program across all phases, supporting delivery of key commercial objectives.
• Manage and develop two Stakeholder Ticketing Coordinators, contributing to a high performing ticketing team.
• Prepare clear reporting for Senior Management, including forecasts, sales analysis, and stakeholder insights.
• Oversee all stakeholder payment tracking and reconciliation, ensuring accuracy and timely issue resolution.

Stakeholder Management

• Build and maintain strong relationships with domestic and international stakeholders to drive sales outcomes.
• Collaborate effectively with internal teams, fostering a positive and integrated working environment.
• Serve as the primary escalation point, delivering professional, solutions focused customer service.
• Develop and deliver stakeholder communications, guides, training, and event time support.

Ticketing Operations

• Oversee operations and account management within the Client Ticket Portal, ensuring a seamless stakeholder journey.
• Maintain data accuracy and drive continuous improvements across processes and system functionality.
• Ensure the CTP remains fully operational, resolving issues swiftly with Ticketmaster and internal teams.
• Support quota management, seat allocations, ticket distribution, and tournament time operational requirements.

Qualifications & Experience

• 3 years' experience in ticketing operations or large‑scale event programs, with strong knowledge of ticketing systems and technologies.
• Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, able to build quick rapport with diverse partners and internal teams.
• Strong leadership capability, with experience supporting or managing team members in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple deadlines.
