Apunipima Cape York Health Council is a community controlled Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health service, which provides culturally appropriate, family centred, primary health care services to the communities and people of Cape York.
About the Opportunity
The Medical Officer delivers safe, evidence-based, holistic primary health care within the Apunipima Model of Care to improve health outcomes for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people in Cape York. The role supports national clinical standards and culturally appropriate, client-centred care. This position is based in Mossman Gorge.

Apunipima, meaning "united - all in one" in Injinoo Ikya, was established in 1994 to advocate and support the health needs of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people of Cape York. Over the years, Apunipima has expanded to become a key primary health care provider across Cape York.
