Restaurant Manager / Venue Manager

About the role

IL Posto Italian Restaurant & Bar is looking for an experienced, hands-on and commercially minded Restaurant Manager to lead our long-standing and popular local Italian restaurant in Paddington. We are looking for someone who can help grow the business through increased customer numbers, average spend, group bookings, functions, Private Dining Room and bar sales, while maintaining strong food and labour cost control.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily restaurant and FOH operations

• Deliver excellent customer service and guest engagement

• Grow group bookings, functions and events

• Activate and increase sales through our bar and Private Dining Room

• Manage reservations, table flow and service standards

• Hire, lead, train and motivate the team

• Monitor key KPIs including customer numbers, average customer spend, food cost, labour cost and Google reviews

• Improve productivity, profitability and overall restaurant performance

• Manage customer feedback and ensure issues are resolved quickly

About you

• 2+ years' restaurant management experience

• Strong leadership and communication skills

• Customer service focused and hands-on

• Understanding of restaurant KPIs, costs and profitability

• Experience with functions, group bookings or events is highly desirable

• Energetic, organised and able to lead from the floor
