About The Role:
As a Procurement Officer, you’ll support procurement and contract activities across Council, helping our teams achieve value for money while following clear, fair and compliant processes.
You’ll work with internal teams to plan and run RFQs and tenders, prepare procurement and contract documentation, maintain accurate records and systems, and provide practical advice along the way.
You’ll also help improve the way we work by identifying process issues, improving templates and guidance, supporting preferred supplier arrangements and contributing to procurement reporting.
The role primarily supports the City of Charles Sturt and forms part of a collaborative procurement team working across Charles Sturt, Marion and Port Adelaide Enfield. This provides exposure to a broad range of procurement activity and opportunities to contribute to shared initiatives.

About Our Team:
Our Strategic Procurement team supports sourcing, tendering and contract activity across Council. We work closely with internal teams and with procurement colleagues across Marion and Port Adelaide Enfield to improve consistency, reduce duplication and deliver better outcomes.
We also collaborate with procurement colleagues across the Cities of Marion and Port Adelaide Enfield, giving the team opportunities to share knowledge, improve processes and support joint procurement initiatives.
The Detail:
The position is offered on a permanent full-time or part-time basis and classified at Level 5 with a starting salary of $106,912 per annum (pro-rata) + Super + Annual Leave Loading.
