About the role

The Kimberley General Store is seeking a Senior Sales & Service professional to join our team in Kununurra. This is a casual position that offers flexibility whilst allowing you to make a meaningful contribution to our retail operations. As a senior member of our sales and service team, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional customer experiences and driving sales performance across our store. This position is based in Kununurra, Western Australia and is ideal for someone seeking casual work with genuine responsibility and growth opportunities within a community-focused retail environment.

What you'll be doing

• Providing expert sales and service to customers, utilising in-depth product knowledge to recommend suitable items and solutions

• Supporting and mentoring junior sales staff, assisting with their training and development

• Managing point-of-sale transactions accurately and efficiently whilst maintaining high standards of customer service

• Maintaining store presentation and product displays to ensure an inviting shopping environment

• Handling customer enquiries and resolving issues professionally and courteously

• Assisting with stock management and inventory control as required

• Contributing to the achievement of sales targets and store performance goals

• Operating within company policies and procedures to maintain store standards

What we're looking for

• Proven experience in a retail sales or customer service environment, with demonstrated success in a senior or supervisory capacity

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse customers

• Strong sales ability with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets

• Product knowledge and the ability to provide informed recommendations to customers

• Proficiency with point-of-sale systems and retail technology

• The ability to work independently and as part of a team, with flexibility and adaptability

• Physical capability to stand for extended periods and handle stock duties

• A commitment to outstanding customer service and store presentation standards

• Reliability and professional attitude with strong organisational skills

• Experience mentoring or training staff is highly desirable
